1950s Slatted Lounge Chair with Arms by George Nakashima in Black Walnut
This is a rare lounge chair with arms crafted by George Nakashima circa late 1950s, acquired from the family of the original owners. This is an iconic example of the slatted series, which in many cases was intended to be seen from the back side. This particular example is a single-seat lounge chair and is constructed from solid walnut. The finish is in nice condition and has recently been re-oiled by a master woodworker. The upholstery is in nice usable condition, though could also be a candidate for reupholstery if desired.
We also have a matching 72 inch settee, which came from the same original owner. The price listed includes the lounge only.
The settee measures 31 inches long by 32 inches tall and 32 inches deep.
