1953 OTW Coffee Table by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller in Walnut
This is a rare Eames coffee table, known as the OTW or the Oblong Table Wood (base). The OTW was introduced in the 1940s and was first produced by Evans Plywood Company. This particular example was specified with birch legs and a walnut top (as opposed to laminate, which was also offered). It was produced circa 1953. The table came from the family of the original owner and is accompanied with a copy of an original photograph, showing some of their other pieces in use. This was purchased at the same time as an LCW and DCW, all with walnut finishes. The table is in very good vintage condition, showing some wear from use as noted in the photos. The table measures 15.5 inches tall by 35 inches long and 24 inches wide. The table appears to be completely original aside from the bolts underneath, which were likely replaced decades ago.
