SOLD Nicos Zographos Designs Ltd Brushed Stainless Steel Coffee Table with Glass Top
Listed for sale is a beautiful Nicos Zographos Designs Ltd brushed stainless steel coffee table with a glass top. Nicos Zographos and his company (Zographos Designs ltd.) were prolific in shaping modern interiors, alongside Florence Knoll and others. His work is known for extraordinary craftsmanship and attention to detail. The metalwork is generally stainless and custom-fabricated, then hand finished or tubular chromed steel in the case of some chairs. He first worked as part of Skidmore Owings and Merrill's (SOM) interiors division before establishing his company. SOM continued to specify Zographos pieces until the company closed down a few years ago. This table came from an SOM project in New York (for a well known Law Firm), along with numerous other Zographos pieces. As a result, this piece has terrific provenance. The table measures approximately 48 in x 24 in x 16 in. This example shows only light signs of wear and use, though does have a small chip on the underside of the glass, as can be noted in the photos. If desired, new glass can also be ordered for a small additional cost.
