This is an LC2 petit modele 3-seater sofa, designed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand. This example was produced circa 2006 by Cassina. It was purchased by a hedge fund manager and seemingly either never put into use or briefly put into use and then put into climate controlled storage shortly thereafter. It is one of the most minimally used 15+ year old pieces we've seen. It looks nearly showroom fresh. This LC2 was specified in classic black leather and was likely a more premium leather, as the feel is much nicer than Cassina's typical leather. The sofa's chromed steel frame presents well and shines beautifully. This example is signed and engraved with Cassina Labels. It also retains original labels underneath at shown.
