This is a Saarinen Executive Side Chair, model 72C, designed by Eero Saarinen for Knoll in 1950. These particular examples date to the 1970s. The listed price includes one chair, and we have a pair in this colorway available for individual sale. The design features chromed-steel tubular legs, and has rust-hued velvet upholstery. The pair was reupholstered at some point.
Each chair measures 20.5 inches long, 22.5 inches wide, and 31.5 inches high. It has a seat height of 18.75 inches. There are several black spots and bleach spots on fabric, and the backrest foam is spongy. The fabric shows wear along the edges. Overall, these chairs are in fair condition with wear and age apparent. Please see photos.
