Listed for sale is a set of four Stendig Wassily B3 lounge chairs, designed by Marcel Breuer. These are the same vintage and from the same era as those in the Museum Of Modern Art's Personal Collection. The chairs are marked with stickers reading STENDIG in what is now faint but visible text.
Stendig was the official importer of these chairs early on and during the 60's in particular. They were manufactured by Gavina, however, imported by Stendig. Today, Knoll manufactures these chairs, making early examples a rarity.
The price listed is for one chair. Two are available.
Excellent condition with nicely patina'd chrome frame retained.
The strapping leather has held up well over time and still holds strong. There is light visible wear as is noted in the photos, as to be expected with chairs of this vintage.
