SOLD 1995 Eames 670 & 671 Lounge and Ottoman by Ray and Charles Eames for Herman Miller in Black Leather and Cherry
This is an original Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman, models 670 and 671, designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1956. This set dates to 1995. Both pieces have mate black bases with polished aluminum top surfaces. The leather cushions are original an in nice used condition. This set is widely considered one of the most significant designs of the 20th century.
The lounge chair measures 32.75 inches long, 32.75 inches wide, and 31.5 inches high. It has a seat height of 15 inches and an arm height of 19 inches. The ottoman measures 21.5 inches long, 26 inches wide, and is 17.25 inches tall. There are some small scuffs and marks on the base. Overall, the set is in good condition with light wear. The ottoman wood is slightly different in color to the chair, though both are Cherry and match fairly well. Please see photos.
