SOLD Eames Herman Miller Time Life Aluminum Group Chair Leather Vintage Original
Listed for sale is an Eames time life chair in black leather. The chair is in excellent condition with a beautiful patina, but only showing light use through its years. The chair is very comfortable and retains its original labels. The aluminum is in nice shape and can be polished further if desired, however, I feel that its current condition best shows the vintage of the chair. The chair also tilts and rolls nicely, however, the swivel is somewhat tight, which I have been gradually resolving with a bit of lubrication between the cylinder and base. Additional pieces can also be found in my other items.
Leather
Supple and showing only light signs of use over its life of only a few years. I would guess that this example dates to the late 60's-mid 70's. The arms have been re-done in matching material and look fantastic.
Bases and Metal
The aluminum is in great shape with clear signs of use, but no damage at all to the frame.
