C. 1960s Josef Hoffmann for Wittmann of Austria Fledermaus Coffee / End Table
This is a Secessionist ‘Fledermaus’ Table, initially designed by Josef Hoffmann for Wittmann of Austria in 1905. This example dates to the 1960s. The table is primarily constructed of dark brown wood, and has an off-white fabric textile inlay underneath the circular glass top. There is a brass band that runs around the bottom of the base.
The table measures 26 inches in diameter, and is 25.75 inches high. There is some veneer wear along the bottom, and there appears to be a small stain on the underlying fabric. There are also some minor chips on the wood surface. Overall, this table is in good condition. Please see photos.
