This is a set of four DKX-1 dining chairs, originally designed by Ray and Charles Eames in 1951. These particular examples were produced by Herman Miller in the USA C. 1957. The chairs feature the early black wire shells paired with black enameled H-base steel frames and retain their original fabric seat pads. DKX is an acronym for Dining Height K-Wire Chair on X Base.
The listed price includes all four chairs to be sold together as a set.
Each chair measures 21 inches deep, 19 inches wide, and 32.375 inches high, with a seat height of 19 inches. The wire frames show light wear consistent with age. The fabric pads are original, with some fading and signs of use but no major tears or stains. Overall, the chairs are in good condition. Please see photos.
