C. 1948 Herman Miller Evans Eames LCW Lounge Chair Wood Calico Ash Early Example
This is an LCW Chair, originally designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1946. It is an early Herman Miller example dating to c. 1948. The chair is composed of Calico Ash, and its age has only contributed to its beauty. The finish has become smooth from use producing a satiny sheen. The Ash has taken on a warm tone, and the flowing grain of the wood has become more distinguished.
The chair measures 25.25 inches deep, 22.25 inches wide, and 27.4 inches high. It has a seat height of 15.25 inches. We have intentionally left this piece in patinated condition. This piece does show wear consistent with previous use, including minor scuffs and scratches. Overall, the chair is in good to very good vintage condition. Please see photos.
