SOLD Breitling Old Navitimer Mecanique Serie Limitee Display Back Edition of 400
Up for sale is a Breitling Navitimer Serie Limitee (Limited Edition) display back chronograph. This watch edition A12022.1 was made for the Japanese market in 1999 and only 400 examples were made in black. Another 200 examples were made in white, but this version is far more sought after. These were meant as a tribute to the original 1954 Navitimer 806 and are often referred to as the 50's navitimer mechanique for this reason. This watch is one of the rarest that Breitling built to this day and is an excellent example.
The watch features a sapphire crystal display back, which shows off manual wind movement. Every part of the watch functions properly and has maintained great accuracy as well. The back of the watch has the limited edition inscription on it "Navitimer Mecanique Série Limitee 200 Montre," translating to Navitimer Mechanical Limited Series of 200 Watches. It is also marked with the model number of this limited edition watch A11022.1, 20, and 214/400. It is thus the 214th watch of this series. The condition is excellent. This watch comes with the original breitling band in excellent condition, original box, and original papers.
Movement: The watch uses a manual wind Breitling Calibre 11, based on Lemania's 1873 Movement.
Measurements: The case measures 41.5 mm excluding the crown.
Condition: The watch is in excellent cosmetic condition, with minimal wear.
Service History: While no formal service history is available, the previous owner stated that the watch had been serviced in the mid 2000's.
