1960s Aluminum Group Lounge Chair and Ottoman by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller in Gray Fabric
This is an original 1960s production Aluminum Group reclining lounge chair and ottoman, designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller in 1958. This example features gray fabric upholstery (likely designed by Alexander Girard), a four-star cast aluminum base, and a sling seat that affords a very comfortable lounging experience. The price listed includes both the lounge chair and the ottoman. The condition of the set overall is very good to excellent given its age, though it remains a vintage piece that will show light signs of age and use.
This set is notable in that the reclining lounges with original ottomans are becoming increasingly rare. While its more common to find these in charcoal or otherwise dark colored naugahyde, it is more unusual to see these in fabric, especially in nice condition with the original head pillow.
The chair measures 39 inches tall, 26 inches wide and 32 inches deep.
