This is an important Watercolour 02 multi-tiered table, initially designed by Oki Sato for Nendo in 2018. Only three of these very limited edition tables exist.

The Watercolour 02 collection made its debut in 2018 at Design Miami Art Basel. The series consisted of 18 different silhouettes, having façades inspired by the gentle permeation of watercolor paint onto white paper.

The design of this example features steel ellipses on slim steel legs. The table's finish showcases an ombré motif; Sky blue ink, applied by hand, has been dabbed with pulp paper to lighten the hue and blur the edges of the piece.

This table measures 28.25 inches long, 71 inches wide , and 30.25 inches high at its highest point. There are some light chips on the finish on legs, and perhaps some very slight fading. Overall, this very special table is in lovely condition. Please see photos.

Tokyo-based Nendo has collaborated with a host of luxury brands, including Tod’s, Cartier, and Lexus, and several of their designs are represented at MoMA and at the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
