2018 Jean Prouvé for Vitra Fauteuil de Salon Lounge Chair in Fabric, Oak, Paint
This is a Fauteuil de Salon Lounge Chair, initially designed by Jean Prouvé for Vitra in 1939. This particular example dates to 2018 and was manufactured in Germany. The lounge chair has a bent sheet steel and tubular steel powder-coated black base. The armrests are solid wood in natural oak, sourced from Western Europe and/or Poland. This chair has two-toned fabric upholstery, with a medium shade of blue fabric for the seat, and beige fabric for the backrest. It has the Vitra label under the seat.
