2010s Thibault Desombre for Ligne Roset Litho Writing Desk in Yellow and Black
This is a Litho Writing Desk, initially designed by Thibault Desombre for Ligne Roset in 2013. The piece was produced in France during the 2010s. The design features a black oak veneer top with a drawer on the left-hand side, and has a yellow lacquered desk top at an angle on the right-hand side. The desk sits on tapered black oak legs that have a steel X cross-stretcher for support. The asymmetrical design lends a lighter feeling to the historically heavy, burdensome idea of what a desk is supposed to be. Desombre is quoted as stating that his design is "a poetic approach to the workspace."
The desk measures 24 inches long, 51.2 inches wide, and 30.7 inches high. There are some light scratches on the top surface, and there are a few small chips on the back and along the legs. Overall, this desk is in good condition. Please see photos.
