SOLD 2000s Eames 430 ESU Case Study Shelving Unit by Modernica LA not Herman Miller
Listed for sale is a Eames ESU case study shelving unit by Modernica (made in Los Angeles), not by Herman Miller. This example was produced in the early 2000s and is in very nice used condition. It shows some normal wear and has begun to acquire a nice light patina. The maple plywood has held up very nicely and colorful panels look great, showing some wear as noted in the photos. The Modernica examples are especially interesting, in that they still allow for customization of the ESU-style series, whereas Herman Miller has now standardized their shelving units and desks. Originally, this series was intended to be highly customizable.
The cabinet/bookshelf measures 60 inches tall by 70.5 inches wide and 16 inches deep.
