1992 Herman Miller Eames Time Life Desk Chair in Burgundy Leather, Aluminum
This is a Time Life Executive Desk Chair, Model ES104, initially designed in 1961 by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller. This example dates to 1992 and is stamped as such. The design was conceived for the lobby of the Time Life Building in New York, and this model is slightly less wide than the Time Life Lobby Chair. The piece features a black powdercoated aluminum frame, and it has a 4-Star swivel base on casters. This model features a manual lift mechanism, and has burgundy leather upholstery.
The chair measures 27 inches deep, 26.5 inches wide, and 34.5 inches high, with a seat height of 16.5 inches. The leather is patinated, and the arms show some wear. There are also some scratches along the frame. Overall, this chair is in good condition. Please see photos.
