This is a pair of Cesca Armchairs, Model B64, initially designed by Marcel Breuer in 1928. These particular examples were produced by Thonet in the United States and date to 1984. The listed price includes the pair of two armchairs, as shown. The design features a chrome-plated tubular steel cantilever frame, and has a wooden seat and back that are upholstered in a tan velveteen fabric. The armrests are also made of wood.
Each armchair measures 23.5 inches deep, 23.5 inches wide, and 31.5 inches high. Their seat height is 18.5 inches. These pieces show ample signs of age and use. There are blemishes on the fabric and reupholstery is recommended. There are stains on the wooden arms and seat frames, and there is a bit of rust on the steel frames. The frames can be refinished or painted for an additional charge prior to shipping if so desired. Overall, this pair of chairs is in vintage condition. Please see photos.
