1980s Pair of Gae Aulenti for Knoll Orsay Dining Arm Chairs with Black Frame & Leather
This is a pair of Orsay Armchairs, originally designed by Gae Aulenti in 1976. These particular examples were produced by Knoll in the USA circa the 1980s. This armchair was named after the Musee d' Orsay in France, for which Aulenti reimagined the interiors. Their design features a sculptural lacquered aluminum frame, and they are upholstered in black leather. The listed price includes the two chairs to be sold together as a pair.
Each chair measures 24 inches deep, 22.5 inches wide, and 33 inches high. They have a seat height of 17.75 inches. They show some minor wear from previous use, but overall are in very good to excellent condition. Please see photos.
