1977 Florence Knoll Two Seater Loveseat Upholstered in Grey Fabric from IBM
This is an original Florence Knoll Settee Sofa, Model 1205S2, designed by Florence Knoll for Knoll in 1954. This particular example was produced by Knoll Studio in the USA in 1977. It features an exposed square tubular-steel frame and is upholstered in a grey fabric. It is an extremely well-made love seat, having an inner frame composed of solid wood. It appears this example was reupholstered in 1987 by Citron Upholstery.
This sofa came from the IBM Headquarters in Armonk, which was designed by Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill (SOM) Architects, under project lead Gordon Bunshaft and Davis Allen likely leading the interiors.
This settee measures inches 32.25 inches deep, 62.5 inches wide, and is 31.25 inches high, with a seat height of 17.5 inches. The fabric is in good shape with no rips or pulls. Overall, this settee is in good condition with light wear apparent. Please see photos.
