SOLD 1976 Original Framed Double Matted Doonesbury Cartoon by Garry Trudeau, April 07
This is an original Doonesbury cartoon, executed by Garry Trudeau in 1976. The piece was custom-framed and features a thin chromed-steel museum frame. The piece is double matted, having a cream linen mat that is lined with griege paper board. The facets of the edges are beveled.
This piece measures 1 inch deep, 19.25 inches wide, and 10.25 inches high. The measurements of the actual cartoon are 15.75 inches high and 16.25 inches wide. There are a few white marks on the cartoon, almost like white out. The linen mat surrounding the cartoon is in good condition. Overall, the piece is in great shape. Please see photos.
