1970s Set of Four Herman Miller Eames DSX Dining Chairs with H Bases
This is a set of four Eames DSX chairs, originally designed by Ray and Charles Eames in the 1950s. These particular examples were produced by Herman Miller in the USA in the 1970s. The chair is comprised of a fiberglass shell upholstered with leather atop a steel chrome H-base. DSX is an acronym for Dining Height Side Chair on X-Base. The acronym stayed the same after they switched production to H-bases from X-bases. The listed price includes the set of four chairs.
Each DSX chair measures 22 inches deep, 18.5 inches wide, and 31.25 inches high with a seat height of 18 inches. They are in good to very good condition with expected wear from use. Please see photos.
