SOLD 1970s Mies Van Der Rohe for Knoll Barcelona Day Bed / Couch in Tan Leather Signed
Listed for sale is an absolutely stunning Mies Van Der Rohe for Knoll International Barcelona day bed in caramel tan leather. This example was acquired directly from the family of the original owner. This, along with dozens of other Knoll pieces were purchased for an executive who lived between Florida and Massachusetts. The owner was friendly with an executive from Knoll and thus the enthusiasm for the brand. As one example, this individual had over 50 pieces of Richard Schultz 1966 series outdoor furniture for their homes. With reference to this daybed, it is in gorgeous condition. The leather is supple and foam is soft. It carries its original Knoll International label as well. The bolster is in very nice condition and wood frame looks terrific with only some light wear. Overall, it is a stunningly preserved and rare example.
The day bed measures 78 inches long by 39 inches wide and 25 inches tall, including the height of the bolster. Its 15.5 inches tall to the top of the cushion. The buyer will receive the exact piece shown in the photos.
