1970s John Behringer for JG Furniture Three Part Link Bench w/ Vinyl Upholstery
This is a Link Bench, model 656, designed in 1961 by John Behringer. It was notably designed for the TWA Flight Center terminal at JFK Airport, a building designed by Eero Saarinen. This example dates to the 1970s, having a frame of chrome-plated steel and a white table top betwixt contrasting orange vinyl seats. It was produced in the 1970s in the United States by JG Furniture. The design resides in the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.
This bench measures 15.75 inches deep, 62 inches wide, and 20 inches high. One of the cushions has some loose threads, and there are some scratches on the table surface in the middle. The manufacturer's label is intact underneath. Overall, this bench is in good condition. Please see photos.
