1970s Italian Flush Mount Ceiling Lamp Attributed to Gaetano Missaglia in Steel
This is a Chromed-Steel Louvered Flush Mount Ceiling Lamp, pulled from the Richard Meier commissioned Giovannitti House in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We acquired the piece directly from Frank Giovannitti who commissioned Meier to design the property. We believe the fixture to have been designed by Italian designer Gaetano Missaglia. The fixture is heavy and substantial, having a black glass plate which is mounted flush to the ceiling. The adjustable louvers are collapsable and can filter light as needed.
The piece has a 9.5 inch height and has a 23.5 inch diameter. There is some light patina on the metal. Overall, this fixture is in very good condition. Please see photos.
