1970s Herman Miller La Fonda Coffee / End Table by Ray and Charles Eames in Marble
Listed for sale is a rare and original La Fonda coffee / end table, designed by Ray and Charles Eames as part of their work for the La Fonda Del Sol restaurant by Alexander Girard. This table was introduced in the early 1960s and was a rather exotic departure from other Eames tables, as it used materials such as slate and fine marble. This particular example was specified with Botticcino marble and the chromed base. Similar to many Eames chairs, the base is fixed to the marble with shock mounts. It retains original Herman Miller labels and ink markings, as well as a material-specific label for care. Condition overall is very good to excellent. There is some light wear from use.
The table measures 30 inches in diameter and 17.5 inches tall.
