1970s Herman Miller Eames Time Life Executive Desk Chair with Black Leather
This is an Eames Time Life Executive Desk Chairs, Model ES104, originally designed in 1961 by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller. This example dates back to the 1970s. The design was born as a bespoke concept for the lobby of the Time Life Building in New York. This model is slightly less wide than the Time Life Lobby Chair. The piece features a polished aluminum frame and has a 4-Star swivel base. This model features a manual lift mechanism.
The chair measures 27 inches deep, 26.5 inches wide, and 34.5 inches high, with a seat height of 16.5 inches. There is some small imperfections on the base, and some wear on the leather upholstery. Overall, the chair is in excellent vintage condition with some wear apparent. Please see photos.
