1970s Giovanni Offredi for Saporiti Italia Vela Swivel Desk Chair in Leather
This is a ‘Vela’ Swivel Office or Desk Chair, initially designed by Giovanni Offredi for Saporiti in 1975. This example was produced in Italy around the same time. The design incorporates a graceful, polished stainless-steel 5-point base on casters, and retains its original dark red snakeskin embossed leather upholstery.
This chair measures 29.5 inches deep, 29.5 inches wide, and 35 inches high. The fabric is worn, and reupholstery is recommended. There are tears and discoloration apparent. The base is in good shape, though it does have some scratches and scrapes. Overall, this chair is in good condition. Please see photos.
