1970s Gerrit Rietveld Hogestoel Dining Arm Chair, Wooden Frame & Painted Edges
This is a Hogestoel arm chair, initially designed by Gerrit Rietveld in 1919. This example dates to the 1970s. The chair's modernist design has a boxy wooden frame, and it features royal blue painted edges, true to the original.
This chair measures 25.5 inches deep, 23.75 inches wide, and 37 inches high. It has a seat height of 18.25 inches. There are some minor blemishes on the seat and the sides of the piece, as well as on the front and back. There are areas of blue paint loss, and there are some small chips to the veneer. Overall, this chair is in good condition. Please see photos.
