1970s Florence Knoll Oval Dining / Conference Table in Walnut Refinished 78x48"
This is a Model 2480T Oval Dining Table or Desk, initially designed in 1961 by Florence Knoll for Knoll. This example dates to the 1970s. The design includes a highly-polished chrome X-stretcher base, and the top is made of walnut. This piece came to us from the IBM Headquarters in Armonk, NY, as specified by SOM Architects who directed the interiors for the project.
While Florence originally designed this silhouette for use as a large desk or work table, it functions beautifully as a dining table.
This table measures 46.25 inches deep, 78 inches wide, and 27.5 inches high. There are minimal scuffs and scratches on the base, and we have had the top freshly refinished. Overall, this table is in very good condition. Please see photos.
