1970s Bronze and Glass Round Coffee Table Attributed to Ward Bennett 42 inch
This is a Large 1970s Coffee Table in Bronze and Glass, attributed to designer Ward Bennett for Brickel Associates. In this design, it pairs a square-edged base with a round top, allowing the simple shapes to work together, despite the obvious juxtaposition. The corners of the square base nearly sit flush with the outer circumference of the glass.
This table measures 42 inches in diameter, and stands 16.5 inches high. The bronze shows some naturally occurring discoloration, and there are some minor scratches on the table surface. Overall, this table is in good condition. Please see photos.
From the estate of Ralph and Ann Youngren, an architect and interior designer. Both had an extensive career at Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill during the 1960s, working under Walter Netsch.
