1963 Pair of Eero Saarinen for Knoll Red Vinyl Armless Executive Dining Chairs
Listed for sale is a pair of armless executive dining / side chairs, designed by Eero Saarinen and produced by Knoll International in 1963. The chairs retain original labels from Met Life, the famous skyscraper on Park Avenue designed in part by Bauhaus founder Walter Gropius (completed in 1963). The chairs were presumably specified by the architects and used in the building for many years. These particular chairs are upholstered in their original red vinyl. They show some wear from use, though are generally in terrific shape. See photos. The foam is still in good shape and these are guaranteed as authentic Knoll production examples.
Each chair measures 22.5 inches wide by 20.5 inches deep and 31.5 inches tall. The seat height is 18.75 inches.
The price listed includes both chairs.
