1960s Ward Bennett for Lehigh Leopold Brown Suede and Stainless Steel Armchair
This is a Tufted Lounge Armchair, designed by Ward Bennett and produced by Lehigh Leopold in the early 1960s. This chair is all original, having a stainless-steel four-star base, and upholstery done in rich brown suede. This silhouette is a classic example of Bennett's work during the 1960’s.
This chair came from a hedge fund in NYC, where all of the works were purchased from renowned vintage and antique galleries.
This chair measures 26.5 inches deep, 26.5 inches wide, and 34.5 inches tall. It has a seat height of 18 inches. The base shows some scratches and scuffs, and the original upholstery shows some pilling and fading. Overall, this chair is in good condition. Please see photos.
