SOLD 1960's Set of Hans Wegner Round The Chair Johannes Hansen For Knoll Danish Oak Armchairs
Listed for sale is an original set of 7 "The Chairs," designed by Hans Wegner and crafted by Johannes Hansen in Denmark. They were bought from the original owner and date to the 60's/70's. These particular examples are danish oak and are in fantastic condition for earlier examples. The chairs are fully marked.
With reference to condition of all chairs, five are in very good to excellent condition with little to note other than light scuffs. The other two chairs (as noted in the photos) had breaks at one point near the finger joint on one side. These breaks have been professionally repaired by a master woodworker and are no problem at all structurally. In the case you'd like the affected area touched up further to appear seamless, I have someone capable of doing so.
The price listed is for all seven chairs. I also have four teak chairs available and could likely track down additional danish oak chairs if desired.
Frame
Danish oak structure is in superb condition with light signs of wear and use. Repairs to two chairs noted above.
Upholstery
The seats looks like they've rarely been sat on and foam is in great shape beneath.
