1960s Pair of Eero Saarinen for Knoll Model 150 Side Tulip Armless Dining Chairs
This is a pair of two Saarinen Tulip Armless Side Chairs, initially designed by Eero Saarinen for Knoll in 1957. These examples date to the 1960s. They each have a newly made foam seat cushion that we had upholstered in a red hopsack fabric. Their design features a sculpted tulip-like base that is composed of powder-coated cast aluminum, and their shells are formed of molded fiberglass.
Each chair measures 21.25 inches long, 20 inches wide, and 32 inches high. They have a seat height of 18.5 inches. These pieces do show wear from previous use, including light scuffs and scratches on the frames. Overall, they are in very good vintage condition. Please see photos.
