1960s Max Bill Torchiere Floor Lamp in White for B.A.G. Turgi of Switzerland
This is a Minimalist Torchiere Floor Lamp, designed by Max Bill for B.A.G. in 1965. This example was produced in Switzerland sometime in the 1960s. The elegant silhouette features a tapered tulip-like stem, and it has a round base to insure stability. The lamp operates via floor switch, ensuring the seamless, graceful lines remain unhindered by switches.
This lamp measures 9.78 inches at widest, and it stands 55 inches tall. The plug shows signs of age, and the lamp’s paint shows some slight fading. We checked the piece, and it is in working condition with the original wiring. Please see photos.
