1960s Knut Saeter for Vatne Mobler Three Seat Sofa in Brown Leather and Teak
This is a Norwegian Three-Seater Sofa, designed by Knut Saeter for Vatne Mobler in the 1960s. The frame of the piece is made of solid teak, and the upholstery is done in a thick cognac brown leather. It is our feeling that perhaps the seat and back cushions were redone at some point, as they seem to be a bit less patinated than the original leather attached to the frame.
This sofa measures 25 inches deep, 73 inches wide, and 29 inches high. It has a seat height of 18.5 inches. There is some fading and there are some visible scuffs on the leather on the back of the sofa. The leather on the cushions is a bit striated from use, though it truly only adds to the beauty of the piece. There are some small scratches on the teak surface.
