1960s Herman Miller Eames MAX Fiberglass Arm Shell Chair Navy Blue w/ Steel Base
This is a MAX Armchair, originally designed by Ray and Charles Eames in 1953. This particular example was produced by Herman Miller in the USA in the 1960s. The shell seat of the chair is comprised of blue fiberglass, and the X-base is made with tubular steel. MAX is an acronym for Medium Arm X Base Chair.
The chair measures 25 inches deep, 23.5 inches wide, and 27.25 inches high, with a seat height of 16 inches. The fiberglass shell shows some scuffs and fading, and the base shows light signs of patina and age. Overall, the chair is in good vintage condition. Please see photos
