1960s Gordon Bunshaft and Davis Allen of SOM Stainless and Glass Coffee Table 41x17"
This is a substantial Square Coffee Table in Polished Steel and Thick Glass, custom-designed by Davis Allen and Gordon Bunshaft for SOM in the 1960s. SOM refers to the architectural firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. The metalwork was likely done by Gerald R. Griffith, their constant collaborator who is known for his exceptional craftsmanship.
The table measures 41 inches long, 41 inches wide, and 17 inches high. The metal base shows some patina and some scuffs, and the glass top shows some light scuffs and scratches. Overall, this table is in good condition. Please see photos.
