1960s George Nelson and Robert Propst for Herman Miller Action Office I Desk
This is a Walnut and Leather Desk Table, Model 64906, designed by George Nelson and Robert Propst for Herman Miller in 1964. The design was a part of the Action Office Series. This example was executed with a walnut top, having an inverted filing section with a lockable lift top. The center compartment illuminates, and there are two additional shallow drawers underneath the top. The base has an aluminum frame.
This desk measures 42 inches long, 83.5 inches wide, and 28.75 inches high. The top has been freshly sanded and re-stained, and we have intentionally left the aluminum base in as-found condition. There is ample patina on the base. Overall, this piece is in good condition. Please see photos.
