1960s Brazilian Rosewood Chess / Coffee Table by Poul Cadovius for France and Son
This is a Rosewood and Aluminum Chess Coffee Table, designed by Paul Cadovius for France & Son in Denmark in 1965. This example dates to the 1960s. The top is done in rosewood with inset aluminum details, and the legs are formed of chromed-steel. The piece has been freshly refinished.
This table measures 27.5 inches deep, 41.5 inches wide, and 17.75 inches high. We have cleaned the base, which has a light patina that has been intentionally preserved. The inset aluminum chess board is in terrific shape, as is the rosewood top. Overall, this table is in very good condition. Please see photos.
