1954 Herman Miller Eames Fiberglass Rope Edge DAX Arm Shell Dining Chair with X Base 3x Available
These are Eames DAX fiberglass dining chairs, initially designed by Ray and Charles Eames in 1950. These particular examples were produced by Herman Miller in the USA C. 1954. Their design incorporates a tan fiberglass shell seat atop a steel X-base. DAX is an acronym for Dining Arm X Base Chair. The listed price includes one DAX chair and there are three available. These are rope edge examples, which can be best seen from the photo on the underside.
Each chair measures 23.5 inches deep, 24.875 inches wide, and 31.25 inches high. They have a seat height of 17.5 inches. The chairs have some scratches and surface blemishes on the seat and legs. Overall, they are in good to very good condition, with expected wear from use. Please see photos.
