1950s Sgraffito Hand-Thrown Pottery Table Lamps by Lee Rosen for Design-Technics
This is a pair of Hand-Thrown Sgraffito Pottery Table Lamps by Lee Rosen for Design-Technics, dating to ca. the 1950s. The lamp bases are in gourd form, having a scored, textured finish. They have a tan glaze, and when the lights are illuminated the shadows highlight the bark-like pattern. Organic modernism at its finest.
Each lamp base measures 13 inches long, 13 inches wide, and 21.25 inches high to the socket. The shades that are pictured will accompany the lamps in this sale, though these important pieces surely deserve fresh hats. The bases are in excellent condition, having no visible flaws. Please see photos.
