1950s Isamu Noguchi for Knoll Cyclone Dining Table with 42" Black Laminate Top
This is a Cyclone Dining Table, model 311, initially designed by Isamu Noguchi for Knoll in 1957. This early example dates to the 1950s. The piece has a cast-iron base which is coated in black porcelain enamel, and it has a new custom-made black laminate top. The welded steel base adds a sculptural element to the design.
This table is 42 inches in diameter and is 29.75 inches tall. The base of the piece is original, and there is patina on the chromed-wire rods. There is also some light wear of the enamel on the cast iron. The top is new and pristine. Overall, this piece is in very good vintage condition with light visible wear. Please see photos.
