1950s George Nelson for Herman Miller Thin Edge Rosewood Full Size Headboard
This is a Thin Edge Full-sized headboard, designed by George Nelson for Herman Miller in 1952. This example dates to the 1950s. The design features a rectangular frame with a rich rosewood veneer, and there is a steel-reinforced mechanism on each side that allows it to attach to a standard full bed frame. The simple silhouette allows one to appreciate the quality of the rosewood chosen, with its varied grain pattern.
This headboard measures 2.5 inches deep, 54 inches wide, and is 31 inches high. The frame has some light scratches on the veneer, but overall, the headboard is in good condition. Please see photos.
