SOLD 1950s Florence Knoll Associates Parallel Bar Lounge Chair Original Red Fabric
Listed for sale is an original Florence Knoll parallel bar series armless red lounge chair, produced by Knoll Associates during the 1950's. This example is completely original, having never been reupholstered or modified in any way. This piece came from a prominent estate in New Hampshire, along with a number of other early and preserved Knoll pieces. This particular example has a red wool hopsack fabric with the original foam inside. The foam is quite firm and could use replacement if desired, while retaining the original fabric. The metal framing is in nice shape, showing only minimal light wear. Overall, this is a marvelously original piece in an iconic color, spec, and material.
