SOLD Extremely Rare Herman Miller Eames 3473 Sofa 1964
Listed for sale is an extremely rare Eames 3473 three passenger sofa designed by Charles and Ray Eames, made by Herman Miller. The design's rarity is a result of it being discontinued by Herman Miller after only a couple of years of production due to the high costs involved in manufacturing the sofa regarding detailing the aluminum and complex construction techniques. Thus, this stands as one of the most rare Eames designs. In terms of condition, the sofa looks fantastic and retains its original materials.
The sofa is 100% original and in mindbogglingly great condition. The original naugahyde is seemingly free of flaws and original hardware is in great shape as well.
The foam is also original and can be redone if desired, but has held up well and is not rock solid as you'd expect.
