SOLD Extremely Rare 1969 Original Eames Herman Miller Matching Set of 10 Orange/Red
Listed for sale is an all original full set of 10 fiberglass arm shells, designed by Charles and Ray Eames. The chairs were purchased directly from their original owner. The gentleman's brother had owned a Herman Miller dealer and thus got a hold of this phenomenal set. The shells are in excellent condition and still shine brilliantly. They all have their original shock mounts and some still have paper labels with the date of production. All bases are original to the set and feet are all present. In terms of condition, one chair had a nick that was filled professionally, but otherwise they are all in excellent condition with no cracks or notable damage.
It may be possible to get provenance for the set as well from the original owner.
If for some reason, only the shells would be desired, shipping costs could be lessened significantly.
The price listed is for all 10 chairs with bases.
Fiberglass
Excellent condition with nice gloss to the shell. One chair has small chip that was professionally filled. They have not been coated or refinished and are original.
Shock Mounts and Screws
The shock mounts are all original and are still stable on the chairs. The screws are all original as well and are still tight into the shock mounts. A couple of replacement screws can be found.
Base
The bases are in nice shape and still gleam nicely. The black paint is also all-original.
