SOLD Eames Herman Miller Sofa Compact with Maharam Crosspatch Upholstery
Listed for sale is an original early 2000's Herman Miller Eames sofa compact designed by Charles and Ray Eames. The sofa compact was designed to be as efficient as possible when shipping and was therefore designed to fold (However more recent versions have one-way screws to make this more difficult).
This particular example is upholstered in a beautiful and very rare Maharam Crosspatch Fabric, designed by Ray Eames. It is one of Ray Eames most famous designs. The fabric has held up nicely and looks terrific.
Crosspatch is one of my favorite fabrics and it is showcased beautifully on an iconic Sofa Compact like this.
The sofa shows some wear to edges of fabric and a couple of nicks on the back. Photos reflect condition well.
The polished steel base bars are in great condition. The feet adjust nicely, paint is all there on metal frame.
